Hi there!
My name is Velanche, and I’m a music player and music maker!
It’s been a long time since my website has experienced any sort of activity, mainly because I pulled the site offline at least a year ago. I also was not making any content on my YouTube and had cut back a bit generally to regroup.
This weekend, I was inspired, in lieu of making new content for both YouTube and Instagram, to finally relaunch my website. I have done quite a bit behind the scenes this past year, but my poor site was left untouched. So last night, I took a stab at doing what I can to have a decent site up and running.
It’s back, I’m back, and there’s much to share in the year 2026. 2025 has been a good year for me overall, even though the world has, and still is, in a state of distress. What I’ll share on that front is that creators and creatives will be stepping up on that front to balance things out, and I will do my part.
I am relaunching my site without a lot of fanfare, just like I will with my YouTube and my Instagram. This site is important to me. At a time when social media platforms are notorious for siloing off the content I post from the world, insisting that the content stays within its platform, I’m not about that. I’m definitely not about whatever content I post there only living there, only shared there with other users on the platform, in streaming of having the ability to share with Leopoldo outside of their silo. Luckily, tools are available to allow me to share content from both my YouTube channel and my Instagram account, so that others can view them too.
The plan should work both ways, too; whatever content I post here on the site will be shared to other platforms in a way that saves me from having to copy and paste the goods. When I go live, they will be free elsewhere. I dig that, and I hope this allows for convenient sharing to as many people as possible.
What do I plan to share? Loads. Just loads. I have spent a great deal of time crafting my music production chops, untangling video production and content creation, and learning to edit both. This year, after going through a long transformational period, is it. It’s the beginning. It’s all of my dreams and hopes on the line, while feeling at peace with whatever happens. I will also share more personal stuff about me, too. I’ll get into that realm, in the weeks and months to come.
So yes, the blog, the YouTube channel, the Instagram, and my music production. I have not mentioned the DJing side. That will figure prominently too, but more on my terms, my way. It always has been, but I’m going to lean in heavily to my influences, especially the future jazz and deep house realms, as well as the soulful sides, in whatever variants will materialize. That will carry into the music I plan to make, too.
I have posted such testaments before, only to have to scale back my expectations. I take on a lot, and want to do a lot. With my low vision looming large, I had to temper them. While I’m still in that mode, I also feel way more assured, confident, ready. And if I do need to scale back, I will do so with the knowledge that I’ve tried. I do feel a sense of resolve, momentum, fun, but also gearing up for the crazy times ahead here in the United States, and the world. I shall pull up my own bootstraps, and get into it, to keep what we say, what we do, as creatives, free and open. Freedom of speech, of expression, of being who you want to be, without fear or favor, is our birthright. No one person should be above that. Creatives will be the example, be the change.
Without that, it’s time to get to work, and get to play. Thank you for reading; more to come soon.
Make 2026 your year to create, and to be your best selves.
Peace.

Yes, Velanche! I can relate to your journey here, I think many can in that the love and purpose for what we do does not fully align with the mechanisms available. The main thing to hold onto is that what you do brings people together. Connection to others has never been more important! I’m so glad you are making 2026 your year!
