Less DJing, More Beats

It’s just as well, because this is the Velanche of now. While I do intend to not only continue as a DJ, I’m more interested in becoming a maker of music, rather than playing other people’s like I have for years. I still do play other people’s music, and enjoy it, and still feel that I can, and will, be better with new skills. But making music is a significant bucket list item that I intend to lean on in the months and years to come. And it won’t be just about making music in the box. It will be making it, or helping to make it, in the studio. And, as I’ll get to another time, it will be about performing it. More on that, in good time.

But much of what I plan to share will be behind-the-scenes things. I plan to share what I learn, and then show you how. I plan to let you know some of the music that I’m into, and share music from the past, via curated playlists, and info on vinyl I have that I pulled off the shelf, or just bought on the shelf of the local shops. I’ll also share some of the gear that I’ve acquired that has contributed to my workflow, but also those pieces of gear waiting to be explored and used.

I have so much more to let you in on, but right now I will leave it here. I’m excited for this new journey, to write new life chapters, and I hope you’ll join me on my quest.

Peace.
